healthcare institutions are launching the first initiative
in a broader collective effort to spin out medical device
companies. The initiative allows prototype development of
medical devices focused on cardiology, orthopedics, and

Altea Inks
Agreement With Eli Lilly and Amylin Pharmaceuticals,
Atlanta, Ga., April 1, 2009. Companies will commercialize
Altea Therapeutics proprietary PassPort® Transdermal
Delivery System in Technology Enterprise Park. Altea Therapeutics, supported by Lilly and Amylin, recently completed a Phase 1 clinical study of the
exenatide transdermal patch in people with type 2 diabetes. |

Kemira consolidates North American R&D in
Technology Enterprise Park, Atlanta Journal
Constitution, Sep 24, 2008. The Finnish company,
which develops technologies for pulp and paper, water
treatment and other industries, currently has
six locations in Georgia and more than 100 worldwide. The
company will move 85 jobs into 37,000 SF in Midtown Atlanta.
